Towards the beginning of December, Luci and I attended another Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Having already been, we were able to do a lot of the stuff that we missed out on before and bypassed some of the things we weren't so keen on. We met a lot of the princesses who were with their princes, Nick and Judy from Zootopia, and of course the big man himself, Santa Clause. It was also SUPER cold this day for Florida! Other guests were suited up in scarves and gloves, making the festivities seem a bit more in season.
Mid-December, my mama along with Mrs. Crumley came to visit me and celebrate my mama's birthday! Woohoo! When we went to EPCOT, we made special dinner reservations so we had a Fastpass for the Candlelight Processional (a holiday show telling the biblical Christmas story with a full choir, orchestra, and celebrity narrator). Meredith Viera was the guest narrator when we attended; the whole show is highly recommended by many cast members, and we really enjoyed it! We also ate lunch at the Beast's castle!
Suddenly, it was Christmas! Luci, Kelly, and I miraculously had the day off, so we made a very simple (but very yummy) Christmas dinner for everyone which ended up being the leftovers that held us over until we moved out.
I wish I had pictures to represent the New Year because that was crazy! I have never seen so many people crammed into such little space as I did outside of the Cone Shop on the night of January 31st! Absolute craziness!!! It was so cool to ring in the New Year right in front of Cinderella's Castle! No guests came into the Cone Shop when midnight was nearing, so everyone working was able to come outside and watch the special fireworks countdown!
I spent my last two days off getting in as much Disney as possible! You can bet that I was in Disney right up until I had to leave for my last shift!
Humbling and sad to wear the signature mint and white for the last time!
A few hours later, I packed up all of my stuff and headed to the airport. Kelly and I had to get some Chick-fil-a in of course before we departed.
The only problem I had flying home was checking in my baggage, and I'm almost more impressed with myself than upset. The bag pictured in this next bunch of photos is 14lbs worth of replaceable belongings which I had to dig out and throw away from my luggage... they really need to have a donation bin! Though if you ask me, cramming 74lbs of stuff into a suitcase is an accomplishment!
I was welcomed home to a winter wonderland!
So far: Always missing my roommates, occasionally missing the Florida warmth and sunshine, but very happy to be back in the PNW!
xoxo,
Carlie
