Welcome to Chatham Square!

Yay! Yay! Yay! I'm all moved in for the term! I'm living in one of the four DCP apartment complexes, Chatham Square (pronounced chat - em, not chath - um), in a four bedroom apartment with seven other girls which was my prefered housing choice!

center: once you get up the stairs, the main hallway leading to the kitchen, dining, and living area

My side of the bedroom along with my closet area and our half of a jack&jill style bathroom
I share my bedroom with one of my roommates and our bathroom links to another bedroom shared by two

On day one, I moved in mid-morning and then in the early afternoon went to the casting building to finalize paperwork and get all of the nitty-gritty stuff out of the way. Of course being Disney, this was is no way a boring or dreadful visit; a current Disney employee escorted each bus load of DCPs to and from the casting building complete with Disney trivia! The most exciting part about this was that we got to find out our specific work location!!! Going into the program, I knew that my role/position would be Quick-Service Food and Beverage (so basically just about anything food related besides a table service restaurant), but I had no clue if I would be at a park or at a resort or if I would be working outside or inside or if I would be working at a cafeteria or cafe...........

So we walk into the casting building and we circle around to get some basic info. The casting employees then start walking around telling folks where they're working... I get to work at the Ice Cream Parlor at Magic Kingdom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite park! Serving delicious ice cream to families and guests all day!!! What could be better?!?! Soooo blessed!!!

some pictures I found online of what my adorably hilarious costume/uniform will probably be and my work location!

Training starts on Friday, beginning with a program called Disney Traditions which is an orientation that every Disney employee goes through no matter what their role in the company is. I've heard that it is a wonderfully magical presentation of what the company is and stands for and how they create the magic of Disney! Very very excited for that!!

Please stop by to say hi if you happen to be in the Magic Kingdom in the next four months!!

Faith, trust, & pixie dust!!
